Josh Jacobs lands on the commissioner's exempt list. The Packers' RB1 will open the season unable to practice or play after being charged with two misdemeanors stemming from a May domestic incident, with a court date set for Nov. 17. He'll keep getting paid, but there's no timeline for his return.
That hands the early-season workload to MarShawn Lloyd, with Kaleb Johnson (acquired from Pittsburgh) and special-teams ace Chris Brooks also in the mix. If you drafted Jacobs as a top-10 back, Lloyd is the direct-line handcuff to speculatively add now — before waivers process again this week.
